For Example, the beautiful town of Grasse is the French capital of perfume, and over the years local flowers have supplied the town's perfume factories. Fragonard is one of the oldest and best established.
The Fragonard tour is split into two halves. In the centre of town is the picturesque old perfumery, which now demonstrates the old-fashioned process of making scent and hosts the perfume museum. The modern, working factory on the outskirts of the town gives tours that explain how soap is made, and show the scent experts at work in their laboratories.
Similarly there are some great Perfumeries located around Aix en Provence, in the Luberon and near St Remy where private tours are possible.
